Teen & Adult Classes



AMUSE's group guitar program offers a comprehensive approach to guitar fundamentals, including both finger style and pick style development and both traditional notation and TAB notation. Guitars are required at the first class meeting and are available for purchase at AMUSE.

Cost: $105 for seven classes, plus cost of materials


Strike A Chord: Beginning Guitar for Teens & Adults

Ages 13 and up, Beginner

This course is designed for older beginners. It will cover the basics of the instrument and music fundamentals. Students will learn fingerboard knowledge, music notation, strumming, basic techniques, and chords. 

Required materials: Hal Leonard Guitar Method, Book 1

AUGUST SESSION: August 3 - August 24

Monday/Wednesday 3:00-3:30pm (via Zoom)




AMUSE's teen and adult piano program gets students quickly playing their favorite melodies and songs. Students will develop basic music concepts and skills, such as five finger melodies and chord progressions.

AMUSE String Chamber Orchestra (ASCO)

The AMUSE String Chamber Orchestra (ASCO) is a group designed to enable students to expand their skill set in an ensemble setting. The fun yet challenging repertoire is custom-arranged to fit the skill level of the current participants. Students will learn basic theory, history, sight-reading in an ensemble setting, and performance techniques.  The class is designed for intermediate to advanced students with at least 2 years of playing experience. Teacher placement only.

This ensemble is temporarily suspended due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.


AMUSE Singers

The AMUSE Singers seriously love to sing, but do not take themselves too seriously! This adult a cappella group performs around the South Bay with repertoire that includes jazz, pop, and Broadway tunes. Music reading is not a prerequisite; it will be incorporated into rehearsals. No auditions required. Rehearsals take place Sunday nights from 6:30-8:00.
