Fundamentals of Music

AMUSE's Fundamentals of Music series is designed to give students a more well-rounded music education. Classes may include topics in Music Theory, Music History, Conducting, Breath Control, and Jazz.

Cost: $160 for eight weeks, plus the cost of materials 

Classes meet once a week for 50 minutes.

Music Theory Fundamentals

Instructor: Matt Karatsu

Level: 1-3 Year Music Experience | Ages: Elementary - Middle School

A music theory class for beginners! This class is for those that are just getting started on their musical journey. Music Theory will provide a foundation in rhythm, scales, music notation, and much more.

Instructor: Matt Karatsu

Level: 4+ Years Music Experience | Ages: Middle - High School

This music theory class is for those further along in their musical studies. This class provides a more detailed look into the theory needed to play at a high level and begin to explore composition.

July 8- August 26

*Music Theory Fundamentals or equal music theory knowledge is a pre-requisite for this class.
