Early Childhood Music

AMUSE’s music education programs are based on the philosophy that we must have music in order to be truly human and that all humans are, indeed, born musical beings. The mission of our early childhood music education program is to nurture and develop those musical skills that all children are born with, thus enabling them to continue making and enjoying music throughout life. The goals of our program are: to develop a sense of rhythm; to develop the young child’s singing voice; to develop perceptive listening skills; to enable the young child to move creatively and expressively; to empower parents to use music to foster their child’s emotional, physical, cognitive, social, and aesthetic growth; and to build the foundation for all subsequent musical learning and participation. This highly recognized early childhood music education program develops a young child’s musical skills through singing and chanting, instrument play, creative and rhythmic movement, and listening. Developmentally appropriate and fun-filled activities enrich a child’s life and enable parents to use music as a valuable everyday experience.
