Junior Jazz Ensemble II, Thursday 5:00-6:15pm
The perfect way to improve your technique and music knowledge from a jazz perspective. For beginning jazz students, play fun charts that will open the door to advanced playing, soloing, and improvisation. Swing hard backed by a professional rhythm section and coached by professional players/teachers. For advancing jazz students, classes will feature arrangements of standard and modern jazz literature. Students will learn techniques for creating improvised solos and for ensemble playing. Class will culminate in a public performance. 8 weeks.
